Keep the estimate’s exclusions visible.
Useful price context belongs where the customer reviews the number.

Explain the scope of the number
An early estimate may describe the configured product while site work remains unknown. Name that scope in the same view as the total. The customer can then decide whether to discuss the proposed product with a clearer understanding of what the figure represents.
Separate unknown from excluded
An item deliberately outside the product estimate is different from an item awaiting review. Use wording that reflects the actual status. Review delivery, installation, taxes, and preparation with the business instead of relying on a single vague sentence about additional costs.
Keep the wording with the brief
When the customer downloads or shares the selection, the price context should travel with it. Check the summary and any later quote against the same assumptions. A clear earlier estimate helps the next conversation explain the complete project.
One useful question.
Open your estimate and its saved summary. Do they describe the same inclusions and exclusions?
