Leave the open question in the brief.
An unfinished decision is useful information when the next person can see it.

Separate a choice from a question
A product summary should show what the customer selected and what they still want to discuss. A roof option chosen for comparison is different from a confirmed specification. Give each its own place so the next person does not turn exploration into an agreement.
Keep the reason beside it
Ask what prompted the uncertainty. The customer may want more daylight, a quieter workspace, or better privacy from one side. That reason helps a salesperson choose a useful explanation rather than present every option again.
Give it an owner
Include the next review and the person or team responsible for it. When the enquiry moves between website, dealer, and installer, the open question should move with it. Close it only when the answer has been discussed and the brief has been updated.
One useful question.
Review one recent enquiry. Can another team member distinguish selected options from unresolved decisions?
